Welcome to Amrao Manush
The name Amrao Manush, ‘we are people too’, was chosen by a group of men and women who live on the streets of Dhaka. We might assume that the most significant problems faced by these people would be unemployment and homelessness; however, they often feel that their biggest difficulty lies in the fact that their situation has robbed them of their human dignity. Amrao Manush is a five-year project (March 2008 - February 2013) which Concern Worldwide is implementing with local partners to address the needs of pavement dwellers in Dhaka City.
